Banook Canoe Club Membership and Registration Information

Banook Canoe Club offers a comprehensive program of recreational and competitive paddling, swimming lessons, swim team and supervised recreational activities.

Membership is open to all individuals and families in the community. Banook Canoe Club has a Clubhouse with a canteen, gym ( with basketball hoops) boat bays, docks, rental hall( seniors room and old gym) with a full kitchen and bar. The Club has a large grassed area and sandy beach with wading area, floating dock and a playground( outside Club) . Our membership is growing, as is the enthusiasm for the Club and the many benefits it offers to its members.

Banook Canoe Club is a non-profit organization. It is run by a Board of volunteer members who meet regularly throughout the year. A new Board of Directors is elected each fall. Our club depends on the work of volunteers and we welcome you to join in - whether by assisting with special projects and fund-raising events or by assisting as judges or boat drivers during regattas. Membership participation is critical to the success of Banook. The Membership Commitment component of our Club is designed to help us sustain a volunteer base and provide ways in which all members can participate in the operation and sustainability of our Club. Banook Canoe Club was established in 1903 (107 years) and is an integral part of the community.

When you join Banook Canoe Club, you just don’t become a “member” of a Club, you become a part of the Banook “Family”.

What Do I Need to do to Become a Member?
