2008 FUNRaising Commitment Campaign

 

It's called FUNRaising because we hope to provide members with an enjoyable way to socialize with other members, while at the same time, raise must needed funds for our club.

Last year was the “trial run”. This year we are putting the program in place.

Goals

•  Raise money that fund various club projects that are not covered by general registration

•  Create a pool of volunteers that will help our club with these activities

•  Provide opportunities for members to get involved with the club and reward them for doing so.

 

How it works

•  Depending on the type of membership , a FUNRaising commitment is required:

Family Membership - $200.00, post-dated cheque

Individual Membership - $100.00, post-dated cheque

•  Several times throughout the season members will be given opportunities to earn their FUNRaising Commitment. We need you time and help.

•  FUNRaising Commitment credits can be earned by volunteering/participating in a variety of Funraising events. ( See chart below for examples of activities and credits).

•  FUNRaising credits will be kept in a log by the Club Manager.

Most of the Banook Canoe Club members are terrific for volunteering and participating in fundraising activities, and we ant to acknowledge their worth. The FUNRaising Commitment demonstrates the tremendous support the members give to the Club and acknowledge the value of that commitment.

CREDIT ACTIVITY

$100.00

Obtain a corporate sponsor/donation of $500 or more

Organize/Run the Club Auction or Lobster Bash

$50.00

Organize/Run a Club BBQ, dance, or other fundraising event

$35.00

Donate an Auction item

Bring in a new family membership to the Club

$30.00

Work any Club fundraising event for 2-3 hrs

Work club gate( 2 hs)

Provide 2 hrs of labour on clean up or repairs

Attend AGM

$15.00

Donate food items/ salad/ dessert for event

Refer rental to club

$10.00

Buy Mabel Labels

Buy MK Sunscreen

Attend Auction, wine tasting, fundraising event

 

EXAMPLES

Example- Family earned $200.00 credit

$30- Attended AGM

$70- Donated 2 auction items

$10 – Attended Auction

$ 15 - Donated salad for BBQ

$15- Donated food item for Nationals

$30- Chaperoned Peewee dance

$30 – Worked 2 hrs on clean up day

 

Example – Indivdual $100.00 credit

$10 – Purchased Mabels Label

$15- Donated salad for BBQ

$10 – attended Ladies Night

$30- sold Banook clothes at Nationals

$35- donated an auction item
